Almaty Ring Road

As KIND’s first project and Kazakhstan no. 1 road PPP project, this project was awarded by creating a consortium that includes Korean companies SK Ecoplant and Korea Expressway Corporation, along with Turkish companies. KIND co-invested in the intermediate holding company (SPC) established by SK Ecoplant.
The project holds significant value as it not only eased traffic congestion and boosted economic development in the Almaty region but also showcased the excellence of Korean construction technology and project management through early completion.

This project involves the construction and operation of a solar power plant in the Talca region, located about 250km south of Santiago, Chile. Through its investment in this project, KIND supported the entry of Korean mid-sized companies into overseas investment and development projects.

As a project that constructs and operates a hydroelectric plant in the Trishuli River, about 70km away from Nepal’s capital of Kathmandu, it is a joint project by Korean companies and the International Financial Corporation (IFC) carried out in developing nations. KIND invested in the project to support Korean firms’ overseas contracts.

As a project that constructs and operates solar power plants in Guadalupe, located about 60km north of Santiago, KIND supported Korean companies’ entry into the global solar power market through investing in this project.

Probolinggo Port

As a bonded warehouse project located at the rear of the Port of Probolinggo in eastern Java, it was joint-developed and invested by the Korindo Group and Busan Port Authority. It aimed to develop a substitute port to solve the congestion problem in the nearby Port of Surabaya, where we are contributing to reducing logistics fees and competitiveness of export cargo through harbor loading, land transportation, and warehouse storage.

This large-scale project includes constructing a seawater desalination plant with a daily capacity of 24,000 tons and a cogeneration power plant producing 940MW of electricity and 1,100 tons of steam. It contributed to Team Korea in expanding to Saudi Arabia which is currently diversifying its industry preparing for the Post-Oil era.

This project involves constructing and operating 15 solar power plants across central and northern Chile. KIND supported the overseas contracting and equipment export of Korean companies by investing in the project.

Cebu Affordable Housing

This project involves the construction and sale of 3,371 affordable housing units in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, Philippines, in partnership with Sekyung Industry, a Korean company that has operated in the Philippines since 2010 and possesses extensive experience in similar housing developments.
It is the first case in which KIND supported the project from the initial feasibility study stage through project development participation and final investment approval. The project is also meaningful in that it aligns with the Philippine government’s policy commitment to expand the supply of affordable housing and enhance housing stability for low-income households.

Trumbull Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant

This project involves the construction and operation of a gas-fired combined cycle power plant in Trumbull County, Ohio, in the United States. It received the “Power Deal of the Year” award at the IJ Global Awards 2022, gaining wide recognition for the excellence of its project financing(PF) structure. Through early completion, the project has contributed to stabilizing the regional power supply while also supporting the export of equipment from Korean companies.

This project involves the construction and operation of a 50MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Hampshire, UK. Electricity generated in Botley will be stored in the BESS before being stably supplied to the UK’s National Grid power network. The project led to EPC and O&M contracts for Korean construction companies, supporting their expansion into the rapidly growing European ESS market.

As a project that constructs and operates a 70MW Battery Energy Storage System in the UK Burnley region, KIND supported the contracting of the second UK BESS project for Korean construction companies. The growing demand for renewable energy has led to an increased need for Energy Storage Systems (ESS). In this market trend, the project plays a crucial role in not only supporting Korean construction companies in securing overseas contracts but also in contributing to the growth of renewable energy.

Nakkas-Basaksehir Motorway

This project involves the construction and operation of the Nakkaş-Başakşehir section of the Northern Marmara Motorway in Türkiye. KIND secured the project by forming a consortium with local construction companies, the Korea Expressway Corporation, Samsung C&T, and the PIS Infrastructure Fund. This marks the first overseas transport infrastructure project that links public institutions, private companies, and a policy fund, supporting Korean companies’ participation in EPC and O&M overseas and contributing to the expansion of overseas investment development projects.

This project involves the construction and operation of a 20MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Watari District, Miyagi Prefecture, in the Tohoku region of Japan. Through its investment in this project, KIND has entered the Japanese power and equipment market while also supporting Korean companies in securing EPC and O&M contracts.

Texas Solar PV Power Plant

This project involves the construction and operation of a 350MW solar power plant in Concho County, San Angelo, Texas, United States, representing a large-scale power infrastructure project. The project also includes the participation of Korean companies in the project development stage as well as the export of solar modules.
KIND participated in the project as an equity investor and, through an investment structure linked with the PIS Fund, supported Korean companies’ involvement in the development, investment, and operation of power generation projects in the United States, while facilitating their entry into the North American renewable energy market.

This project involves the development of an approximately 200MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Runnels County, Texas. It is an energy infrastructure project designed to address the growing electricity demand driven by the expansion of the AI industry and data centers, as well as the increasing variability in power supply resulting from the expansion of renewable energy.
KIND participated in the project through both equity and debt investments, supporting Korean companies’ entry into the U.S. energy infrastructure market.

This project involves the construction and operation of a commercial data center in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. By participating in the construction and operation of the project, Korean companies are expected to secure overseas construction contracts, expand equipment exports, and obtain operation and maintenance agreements.
This project also represents the first overseas commercial data center project for Korean companies, serving as a strategic foothold for entering the ASEAN market, including Indonesia. In addition, it marks KIND’s first investment in a data center project, providing an opportunity to diversify its investment portfolio into emerging sectors driven by advancements in information and communication technology.

This project involves the construction and operation of a 100MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in the Tangkam area near Toowoomba, Queensland, approximately 160km west of Brisbane. The project was developed to respond to the growing demand for power grid stabilization as renewable energy generation expands.
KIND participated in the project as a co-investor alongside the PIS policy fund and domestic financial institutions, supporting Korean companies in carrying out EPC and O&M activities, thereby facilitating their entry into the Australian energy market.

Katowice Booster Zabrze Warehouse

This project involves an investment in a logistics center located in Katowice, southern Poland. The project is expected to serve as a strategic logistics hub for Eastern Europe, leveraging its excellent connectivity with neighboring countries such as Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Ukraine.
KIND participated in the investment as part of “Team Korea,” together with LX Pantos, the Korea Ocean Business Corporation (KOBC), and the PIS Fund. By linking direct investment with a policy fund structure, KIND played a leading role as an anchor investor in mobilizing capital, thereby supporting the strengthening of Korean companies’ logistics network competitiveness in Europe.
